Phyll
Phyll looks after sales and client liaison, guiding visitors through the collection and helping match pieces to projects.
For over two decades, David Bell has sourced an eclectic mix of architectural artefacts, lighting, furniture and the genuinely extraordinary from across the world — England, France, Belgium, Argentina and beyond. The result is an ever-changing collection of pieces that are often massive, always out of the ordinary, and rich with the cultures and eras they come from.
This was never meant to be a dusty antique shop. Onsite offers pieces both old and new — objects with the presence to hold their own in the most contemporary of spaces and the most monumental of surroundings. Over the years we've begun developing a range of strong, limited-edition pieces made locally, and — at the encouragement of our clients — co-creating one-of-a-kind commissions. The results live in some of South Africa's most beautiful wine farms, restaurants and homes.
You'll find us on Loop Street, in the heart of Cape Town's CBD.
We anchor a space with strong, architectural pieces — monumental salvaged doors, weathered industrial iron, the generous scale of vintage club furniture.
Against that weight we introduce a precise, considered selection of refinement — the intricate fracture of stained glass, the soft warmth of a Persian textile, the delicate glow of a chandelier.
It is a meticulous balancing act: honouring the robust, faulted patina of the past while framing it with enough grace to create something sophisticated, honest and unpretentious. A livable sanctuary for the soul.
A group of talented, highly creative people who love what they do. You will always receive a warm welcome and a knowledgeable response to your enquiries.
